WoW 12.1 Curse of Ula'tek Campaign Skip: Can Alts Skip It?
Use the confirmed Legacy of the Amani chapter skip on eligible alts, and troubleshoot the Soridormi option without assuming the entire Curse of Ula'tek campaign can be skipped.
Answer first
Quick Answer
WoW 12.1 has an alt skip for the Legacy of the Amani campaign chapter. Blizzard's August 25, 2026 hotfix fixed an issue that stopped Soridormi from offering that skip. This does not confirm a one-click skip for every Curse of Ula'tek chapter: availability depends on account completion, character eligibility, and the campaign step your alt has reached.

Is There a Curse of Ula'tek Campaign Skip?
Yes, but the verified scope matters. Blizzard's August 25 hotfix says it fixed an issue that prevented Soridormi from offering the Legacy of the Amani campaign chapter skip. That is the clearest official statement currently available.
It is not evidence that every chapter in the complete Curse of Ula'tek story can be marked complete at once. Treat the option as a chapter-level alt convenience. Your character may still need to begin or complete later 12.1 progression, especially when a later unlock is tied to a specific campaign step.
Where Is the 12.1 Alt Skip?
Talk to Soridormi in Silvermoon and check her campaign dialogue on the alt you want to advance. The available option can vary with account and character progress, so read the chapter name before accepting.
No coordinates are required for this answer. If Soridormi has no relevant dialogue, first verify that the account has completed the prerequisite story on another character and that the alt is in the correct campaign state.
What Does the Skip Actually Skip?
Keep four kinds of progress separate:
- Legacy of the Amani: This is the chapter Blizzard explicitly names in the Soridormi hotfix.
- The full Curse of Ula'tek campaign: Later chapters and their unlock steps are not automatically covered by that statement.
- Account-wide access: Some zone or system access can carry across the account after it is earned once.
- Character-specific progress: Quest-log state, chapter completion, rewards, and certain follow-ups may still belong to the individual character.
This distinction prevents the most common mistake: seeing an account-wide unlock and assuming the alt's campaign log has also been fully completed.
Campaign Skip Not Showing?
Work through these checks in order:
- Confirm the prerequisite campaign progress was completed on another character on the same account.
- Log out and back in, or reload the interface, after finishing progression on the first character.
- Return to Soridormi and review every available campaign dialogue option.
- Confirm the alt has not already passed, accepted, or partially completed the chapter being skipped.
- Remember that Blizzard fixed a Soridormi skip-display problem on August 25, 2026; advice or screenshots from before that hotfix may show the broken state.
If the option is still absent, continue from the campaign step shown in the quest log rather than abandoning unrelated quests or flying to unverified coordinates.
Do Alts Need to Repeat the Entire Campaign?
Do not assume every alt must repeat every step, and do not assume every step disappears. Warband-style account progress and chapter skips reduce repetition, while individual chapters can still have their own eligibility and progression rules.
The safest approach is to complete the required story once, check Soridormi on the alt, and then follow the first campaign chapter that remains active. For the full progression order, use the Curse of Ula'tek Campaign Guide.
Can Alts Reach the Coiled Isle?
Coiled Isle access is connected to account and campaign progression, but being able to reach the zone is not the same as having every chapter completed on that alt. See How to Get to the Coiled Isle for requirements, the unlock sequence, and phasing checks.
After reaching the island, later repeatable systems may still require more campaign progress. The Coiled Isle World Quests unlock guide explains that separate gate.

Requirements
- The required campaign progress has been completed on another character on the account
- The alt is eligible for the relevant campaign chapter
- Patch 12.1 is active on the character
Steps
- 1
Check account completion
Confirm that another character on the account completed the prerequisite story progress. A skip cannot replace progress the account has never earned.
- 2
Talk to Soridormi
Find Soridormi in Silvermoon and check the available campaign dialogue on the alt. Read the option carefully before accepting it.
- 3
Confirm the chapter being skipped
Treat the verified option as a Legacy of the Amani chapter skip. Do not assume later Curse of Ula'tek chapters are also completed.
- 4
Refresh character state if needed
After recent progression or a hotfix, log out and back in, reload the interface, and check Soridormi again.
Common Mistakes
- Assuming the entire Curse of Ula'tek campaign has a single complete skip.
- Checking on an alt before the account has the required completion.
- Using advice written before the August 25 Soridormi hotfix.
